Colors & Textures of Greece

I was in Greece from June 14 to 28. There were moments when I was smitten with colors & other moments with textures.
I loved these good friends in lush linens. I asked if I could photograph them.
Now they look to me like Aphrodite torsos!

No self-respecting traveler/photographer resists doorways & windows!

My favorite, below.
Textures, unusual ones, everywhere!
Acropolis marble paving. The stones have juicy color too!
And different tools making the surfaces flat.

I am in awe of sculptors turning stone into believable cloth!!
And I love it when texture & text intersect!

As I remember the writing below is the manumission of a slave at Delphi.
A very public way of freeing someone!

Stonework textures!! oh my!!

                                     .....a gathering of moths...
...lime-stone rock at Olympia......shells compressed in sandstone...
                             two fabulous olive tree trunks
                                                              another texture
...fishnets..... I can just feel the salt on them...
...walls of the Canal of Corinth....also looking like script...

...and closing with the closed window...
                                   That's it for now.
