On the Road of Life/ Delight in the Construction Zone

I just saw a film about a man who walked literally all the streets of New York-- all 5 boroughs. His name is Matt Green. You can Google him. 8,000 miles & it took him 7 years!! He was in no hurry.

I had been going through my images of the Vancouver construction zone & noticing the times where I was arrested by beauty. Patterns. Textures. A sense of sacred space. Wondrous color.

Sometimes when I go out to photograph my favourite construction zone at Vancouver House I am open to what I might see, what I might learn, & who I might be able to strike up a conversation with. When I saw Matt-in-action today, in some ways I saw some of myself.

I would like to share photos: Beauty from the Construction Zone.
First TEXTURE! [Sometimes this conflates with pattern.]

 The delight of light.

Color!

Finally, the magic of architecture &, in some cases, the sense of sacred space.

That's it for now.
